Optimum Refill, 60 capsules

£65.00 for 60 capsules at Healf. It carries more than one active ingredient, so it is not ranked against single-ingredient products. Each price below counts one ingredient only.

What it really costs, per 1 g£180.56One 1 g dose is our comparison unit for vitamin C. It is not a recommendation.
A day£180.56
A week£1263.89
A month£5416.67
A year£65902.78

At one 1 g dose a day, this pack lasts under a day. A month is 30 days, so twelve of them is not quite a year.

How we worked it out

Vitamin C

  • Servings: 60 ÷ 2 per serving = 30
  • In the pack: 30 × 12 mg = 360 mg
  • £65.00 ÷ 360 mg × 1 g = £180.56 per 1 g
  • A week £180.56 × 7 = £1263.89 · a month × 30 = £5416.67 · a year × 365 = £65902.78
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.

Selenium

  • Servings: 60 ÷ 2 per serving = 30
  • In the pack: 30 × 30 µg = 900 µg
  • £65.00 ÷ 900 µg × 100 µg = £7.22 per 100 µg selenium
  • A week £7.22 × 7 = £50.56 · a month × 30 = £216.67 · a year × 365 = £2636.11
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.

Vitamin B6

  • Servings: 60 ÷ 2 per serving = 30
  • In the pack: 30 × 0.21 mg = 6.3 mg
  • £65.00 ÷ 6.3 mg × 50 mg = £515.87 per 50 mg
  • A week £515.87 × 7 = £3611.11 · a month × 30 = £15476.19 · a year × 365 = £188293.65
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.

Zinc

  • Servings: 60 ÷ 2 per serving = 30
  • In the pack: 30 × 3.58 mg = 107.4 mg
  • £65.00 ÷ 107.4 mg × 15 mg = £9.08 per 15 mg zinc
  • A week £9.08 × 7 = £63.55 · a month × 30 = £272.35 · a year × 365 = £3313.55
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.
