Privacy
What this site knows about you, which is almost nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. PerDose has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics. We do not know who visits, and we do not want to.
Cookies
We set none for tracking or advertising, and no analytics or advertising script runs on these pages. Our host, Cloudflare, may run a short security check in your browser to tell people from automated traffic, and set one cookie, cf_clearance, to record the result; it is used for nothing else. “Your dose” is kept in the page address; your basket, your stack, the products you have recently viewed and the ones you pick to compare are kept in your browser, and none of it is sent to us. The dark mode switch is remembered by your browser alone.
My stack
What you put in My stack (the supplements you take, how many a day, your orders, what you paid and your notes) is kept in your browser on this device and is never sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser’s data deletes it, so the page offers a backup file you save yourself. A link to move your stack to another device, or to share it, carries it after the “#” in the address, the part browsers do not send to any server; anyone you give the link to can read it. A reorder link from My stack tells the affiliate network only that the click came from My stack, never anything about you or your stack.
So that My stack opens without a connection, your browser also keeps a copy of the My stack page and of the day’s prices, and remembers each product’s price at your last visit, to tell you when one has fallen. Calendar files and the image of your stack are made on your device and saved where you choose. The calculators under /tools/ keep your numbers in the page address only. A stack for each person in your home is kept the same way, in this browser. The barcode scanner uses your camera in the page: the picture is read on your device, never recorded or sent, and the camera stops as soon as a barcode is read.
When you follow a link to a retailer
Links to retailers are affiliate links. When you follow one, you leave this site. The affiliate network that records the visit (Awin or Impact, or Amazon for Amazon links) and the retailer itself may then collect information directly from you and place or recognise cookies on your browser, so that a purchase can be credited to us. That happens on their sites, under their own privacy policies, not on ours.
Third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may collect information and use cookies in this way. We are not told who you are, what you bought or whether you bought anything; a network reports only that a sale followed a visit from this site. The affiliate disclosure says how the links work and why they cannot affect the order.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Your choices
Your browser’s settings let you block or delete cookies, including those a network or retailer sets after you follow a link. Nothing on this site depends on them: every page and every figure works the same without.
Hosting
The pages are served by Cloudflare, which sees your network address in order to deliver them, as every host does. We keep no logs of our own.
If you write to hello@perdose.co.uk, we keep your message to reply to it and for nothing else. The address is delivered by Cloudflare’s email forwarding.
Who is responsible
PerDose is run by Patrick Linsdell, 75 Gillbent Road, SK8 6NQ. Questions about this page, or a request about anything we hold (which is only email you have sent us), go to hello@perdose.co.uk. See also the contact page and the terms of use.
