What it really costs, per 25 g protein£5.42One 25 g dose is our comparison unit for protein powder. It is not a recommendation.
A day£5.42
A week£37.91
A month£162.46
A year£1976.58

At one 25 g dose a day, this pack lasts 7 days. A month is 30 days, so twelve of them is not quite a year.

How we worked it out

Protein powder

  • In the pack: 12 × 15 g = 180 g
  • £38.99 ÷ 180 g × 25 g = £5.42 per 25 g protein
  • A week £5.42 × 7 = £37.91 · a month × 30 = £162.46 · a year × 365 = £1976.58
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.

Biotin

  • In the pack: 12 × 300 µg = 3.6 mg
  • £38.99 ÷ 3.6 mg × 5 mg = £54.15 per 5 mg
  • A week £54.15 × 7 = £379.07 · a month × 30 = £1624.58 · a year × 365 = £19765.76
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.

Vitamin C

  • In the pack: 12 × 132 mg = 1.58 g
  • £38.99 ÷ 1.58 g × 1 g = £24.61 per 1 g
  • A week £24.61 × 7 = £172.30 · a month × 30 = £738.45 · a year × 365 = £8984.44
  • Amount per serving: stated on the label.
