How we worked it out

Turmeric / curcumin

  • Servings: 120 × 2 packs ÷ 2 per serving = 120
  • In the pack: 120 × 1.32 g = 158.4 g
  • £25.99 ÷ 158.4 g × 1.5 g = 24.6p per 1.5 g
  • A week 24.6p × 7 = £1.72 · a month × 30 = £7.38 · a year × 365 = £89.83
  • Amount per serving: extract weight stated on the label.

Ginger

  • Servings: 120 × 2 packs ÷ 2 per serving = 120
  • In the pack: 120 × 100 mg = 12 g
  • £25.99 ÷ 12 g × 500 mg = £1.08 per 500 mg
  • A week £1.08 × 7 = £7.58 · a month × 30 = £32.49 · a year × 365 = £395.26
  • Amount per serving: extract weight stated on the label.
