About Vitabiotics
Vitabiotics is a British vitamins and supplements company based in London. Professor Kartar Lalvani founded it in 1971, and his son Tej Lalvani is group chief executive. Its brands include Pregnacare, Perfectil, Wellman, Wellwoman, Osteocare and the Ultra range, sold through high-street chemists, supermarkets, health food shops and its own website, with exports to more than 70 countries. Turnover was £195.6m in 2024. In July 2026 the private equity firm Bain Capital agreed to buy the family-run business, subject to regulatory approval.
